Tuvalu Overview

Tuvalu is a group of islands that are located in the South Pacific region, midway between the countries of Hawaii and Australia. Together, they form the fourth smallest country in the entire world. The climate of Tuvalu can be described as a typical warm, tropical climate with two different seasons. The best time to visit this small country during its dry season. It is between December and the first days of February and from June to mid September.

Funafuti, the capital of Tuvalu, is also home to an extension center for the South Pacific University. For the locals do not see the need for numerous hotels scattered throughout the country owing to the fact that Tuvalu is a group of a few small islands, each of which can be easily reached via boats. This single hotel is totally remodeled, state-owned hotel known as the Vaiaku Lagi Hotel. It is located in the city of Funafuti. Tuvalu is all about seafood with different character. Dining on the islands you’ll find a variety of differently served seafood. There are lots of flavors to choose as well.

The bar scene in Tuvalu is confined to the hotel and few guest houses. Despite the limited area to make some noise and have some shots, the night can’t be more loud and exciting. You can find some really nice, unique items.

Getting To & Around Tuvalu

Air Pacific has direct flights from Suva, the capital of Fiji to Funafuti in Tuvalu. Boat is the major transportation when island hopping.
