The Queen Charlotte Islands are in British Columbia, Canada. Comprised of over 150 islands, the two largest Graham and Moresby make up the bulk of the archipelago, and the visitor's itinerary. The climate of the Islands is strongly influenced by the maritime conditions of their location and the prevailing westerly winds. Winters are mild and summers cool with little temperature variance between them. To enjoy the sunny condition of the islands, a visit is best from mid-May through mid-September.

Queen Charlotte Islands are famous for many sightseeing sites scattered throughout the region. SGang Gwaay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an island off the southern Queen Charlotte Islands. The island has the remains of a village of the Haida community of 300 people and many remaining totem poles. The village was ravaged by disease in the 1880s.
Tourism in Queen Charlotte also looks at the natural unspoilt wonders. The famous Naikoon Provincial Park has the concentration of wildlife in the islands. it is 69,166 hectares of lush rainforest bordered by over 100 kilometers of sandy beaches along the coastline. Wildlife in the region includes introduced small mammals, native black bears, otter, and martin. The rainforest is comprised of towering spruce and cedar trees, and many types of ferns and other greenery along the forest floor.

The Queen Charlotte Islands are the site of some excellent sport fishing opportunities. Salmon weighing over 50 lbs as well as halibut ranging to over 100 lbs are routinely caught. Getting To & Around Queen Charlotte Island
The only way to get a vehicle to the Queen Charlotte Islands is on the six hour ferry from Prince Rupert. There are also direct flights from Prince Rupert and Vancouver.
