Sunbirds, honeyeaters, colored pigeons, eagles, kingfishers, finches, jungle fowls, pitas and many other have made the island their home. Haggerstone Island has three hand crafted private guesthouses that look out upon the sea. Two of the huts are self-contained and one is a more rustic hut with outside shower and toilet. All of the guest houses are fully equipped with the amnesties you need: kitchens, laundry services, bathrooms and toilets, etc. As you reach the island, you may be really concerned where to eat. This is not a problem. The sea was bountiful and locales would grow vegetable aplenty.

Enjoy unforgettable evenings on the sun deck with the sunset over the surrounding reef and the aroma of roasting shellfish, sipping fine wines in a true wilderness. They also use a sand cay off the northern end of the island as an unforgettable dining room. Haggerstone lives with a simple yet luxurious nightlife. Getting To & Around Haggerstone Island
To come to Haggerstone you must first fly to Cairns, North Queensland. From there, you board a twin engine, six seat private charter to the neighboring Hicks Island where there is an airstrip. The two-hour flight travels up the largely uninhabited coastline and terrain of Cape York and winds up over the northern Great Barrier Reef. Transfer to Haggerstone by boat from Hicks Island is approximately 20 minutes.
