Bass Strait Islands is located at a sea strait separating Tasmania from the south of the Australian mainland. Located in the rough waters of the Bass Strait, battered by the Roaring Forties, are two groups of islands: the Hunter group, dominated by King Island off the northwest tip of Tasmania, and the Furneaux group, the largest of which is Flinders Island.
