Redang Overview
Redang Island is located at Terengganu province, by the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Redang experiences Northeast monsoon in winter during the months of November to February due to the tropical climate of the island. Given that information, the best time to visit the island is from the months of March to October.
Redang Main Attractions
The most famous attraction of Redang Island is its crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches and the tropical fish that inhabits the numerous reefs, many within 50 feet of the shore. The said waters is a home for different kind of marine animals from common fishes and turtles to even dangerous sea animals. The island is a great place to get to know and possibly encounter different marine animals.
Another attraction of Redang Island is the lush green rainforest, a home for an active wildlife. Redang is very low on sights and most visitors spend their time bumming around on the beach or exploring the corals. There's some fairly active wildlife though, including inquisitive monkeys, energetic squirrels and large monitor lizards.

Getting To & Around Redang
You can reach Redang Island via plane from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore through Berjaya Air or using boat from the main jetty at Merang. The trip from Merang will go to Pasir Panjang, a beach in Redang.
