Hong Kong Overview

Hong Kong is part of the eastern Asia, on the south coast of the People’s Republic of China facing the South China Sea. Hong Kong has four distinct seasons: winter, summer, spring and autumn. It is best to visit Hong Kong during the spring which runs from March until May and autumn that runs from September to December. Accommodations are at its peak on months of April and October. Beware that typhoons occur between June and September and has usually caused business to halt for a while.

Hong Kong Main Attractions

Aside from the famous Hong Kong Disneyland, Hong Kong prides itself to house Ocean Park. Not only will the tourists enjoy watching different creatures do their thing for the tourists’ amusement and entertainment, but the Ocean Park also has programs that teaches tourists and visitors how to take care of such creatures, such as dolphins and sea lions. The park also has a place for tourists and visitors to swim in case they would want to have a dip. The park also has amazing rides that will truly make your visit at the park truly entertaining and rewarding. Admission fee for adults are CNY 208 for adults and CNY 103 for children ages 3-11. Handicapped and children below 3 are free of admission fee. Open from 10:00-18:00.

Other attractions in Hong Kong are the Repulse Bay, Victoria Peak, Hong Kong Disneyland, Wong Tai Sin Temple, Man Mo Temple, Po Lin Monastery, the Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsulas.

Activities that one can enjoy doing in Hong Kong is almost as usual as others do: shopping, visit Temples, avail an Aberdden Harbour boat ride, hiking and going to parks such as the Ocean Park and Waterworld.

One can enjoy the Hong Kong Ballet, the Hong Kong dance Company and the City Contemporary Dance or be mesmerized by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. Talking about bars and clubs, the most well known spot for this is in the Hong Kong Island. Nightlife doesn’t happen much only until the clock reaches midnight.

Getting To & Around Hong Kong

To get to Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Airport is the main port of entrance for visitors of Hong Kong by air. There are direct flights to Hong Kong from every continent. For those flights made within China, expect the fare to be a lot cheaper. For flights from Asia, there are transiting flights to Macau. Cathay Pacific and its subsidiary airline Dragonair are Hong Kong’s main transportation on air.
